XXXXXXPapaya was not always the small, carefree hatchling she appears to be today. Once she was a full grown Lady, a diplomat born of clan leaders. She used her beauty and good manners to win over the hearts of many, and was very successful in her field. She caught the eye of a coatl called Afraes, and they had 2 children. Afraes, however, was unfaithful, and Papaya used her parents high rank to throw him out to find a new clan. For a period of time, Papaya lived in solitude. Eventually, however, her parents demanded that she find a new mate. "A highborn lady is not to be alone" they claimed. She eventually settled for a pale yellow coatl named Karambola. Although it was somewhat of an arranged marriage, it was also a peaceful one, and the two got along well, and had 3 children. Tragedy struck with an intense war between Light and Plague. All but 2 of Papaya's children left to serve the Lightweaver, and were never seen again. Consumed by grief, Karambola fled to find a new clan, and Papaya began to question her sanity. It is said that she simply gave up on everything, and fled to a mad scientist mage who could turn back the clock, and then freeze it.

XXXXXXShe was later found in the form of a young hatchling. Her parents turned her over to an Arcane clan, hoping that they could cure her eternal youth. When all attempts failed, her parents disowned her. Papaya resided with that clan for a few moons, before being passed along to Clan Aeviternity when space became too cramped. Papaya is a cheerful addition to the clan; always a source of kindness and innocence. She has no recollection of her life before her transformation, and seems oblivious to the whisperings of others who try to unravel her past. Every once and awhile though, it seems her old self shines through subtly. Her diplomatic skills don't seem to have fully left her, making for a very persuasive hatchling, and occasionally she seems lost in thought and memory, but when interrupted forgets what she was thinking of. Many wonder how much of her old self is left, hiding in the subconscious, but they elect to leave her be. Papaya chose to change her destiny and live in innocent bliss, and they do not dare take that choice from her, no matter how worrying it may be.
