Biography

8 gen
You are in your den of the Shifting Expanse. You raise your head sleepily, as you just woke up. You blink your purple eyes that mark you an offspring of one of the few Shadow Ridgebacks. Outside, the other Ridgebacks of the nest move around, doing their business. You trod out of your den, and get to the nest food storage area as your stomach growls. Suddenly, a desperate Spiral backed by a Nocturne burst out of the entrance. They speak quickly, and talk about Beastclans attacking flights everywhere, the Forum of the Obscured Crescent within the Tangled Wood being attacked the most. The leader of the den asks why they should care. The Nocturne simply says that they would help the Ridgebacks "borrow" fish from the Water flight. You glance around. Some said that they would help, and eventually, your leader complies. Off the nest travels, and you soon find the Tangled Wood. You feel a sense of responsibility for this flight, as you were born here. Suddenly, some Centaurs (a Beastclan) burst out of the wood, closely followed by a group of Guardians. You pursue these Centaurs until you dash into a clearing- the Forum. The Shadowbinder is nowhere to be found, but you know that she has melted into the shadows already. Off to the right, you hear dragon shouts and roars. The Centaurs charge that way, and the Guardians and Ridgebacks around you follow (of course you do too). You enter the battle, fighting Centaurs, Talonoks, and Serthis alike. Soon, you find a tall ledge. You decide to climb upon it. A dragon with blood-red wings stands below, crowded by ten Talonoks and ten Serthis. You leap down onto the group of attackers, end sixteen, and scatter the rest. You look back at the Guardian you helped and give a tiny nod to them and dash away to help others. A wooden horn sounds, and the Centaurs and Talonoks retreat. The remaining horde is made up of thousands of Serthis that chase every remaining dragon away into the Tangled Wood. A loud and low call for retreat came from a group of dragons' throats. You dash as fast as possible into the Tangled Wood, but then you spin around and take a few down. You spin back around and go farther. Many dragons do the same until there were no remaining Beastclans to be seen. You find yourself lost within the wood, with carnage and trampled grass everywhere. Over by a dead Serthis, you find a pouch of what looks to be letters. You nudge the pouch open with your horn to find a few torn parchments. You lay them out on the grass, so that the whiter set lay on dark green grass while the tan set lay on blue grass. After a few hours of sitting down and unscrambling the coded words, you come out with these messages:
White set: TRAVEL IN PACKS, SAFETY IN LARGE NUMBERS, ATTACK AS ONE
Tan set: SERTHIS PLAN IS COMPLETE, WE WILL WAIT AND WE WILL WIN
(These are based on actual items, message scraps.)
You read these unscrambled messages. These messages must be everywhere, you inferred. You scramble to your claws, quick not to laze around. GET BACK TO WORK sounds in your head, but you laugh a low and sorrowful sound. You aren't in the Shifting Expanse anymore! You glance around to look for any dragons. Nothing. You trod forth until you run into a clan. Two dragons looked up from their work to inspect their newcomer. Dark, purple eyes met the same color set as you locked eyes, then went off to inspect them as well. The male was the Guardian you saved in the battle, and he had a green tail wrapping around his tail that was slightly stained with blood. The female was not one that you recognized. After a bit, they greeted you and called themselves Bloodfang and Crimsonscale. There was nobody else in the den yet. You join the clan knowing that your previous nest of Ridgebacks is scattered across the wood. Soon, many more join the clan, some survivors of the battle, some castaways, and some dragons acquired within the Auction House. You and your clan eventually leave the Tangled Wood and go to the Viridian Labyrinth. More dragons join the clan, and soon the clan was moderately sized. One day, Bloodfang and Crimsonscale left. They put the clan's power on their children's wings, and they handled it quite well. You know that eventually another battle will start, and that history will repeat itself. You would surely be ready then.
