With a preference for wetlands and bogs as opposed to city or town life, Saniya can be described as anti-social and meek. Her hut in the Mire isn't as luxurious as the rest of the clan's dwellings, but feeling at home is all the matters to her.

As a hatchling, Saniya grew up without her father in the picture. Her mother, however, made up for the lost parental love greatly. After a hard day of work, her mother would tell her stories about her absent father. Soon, Saniya felt as if she knew him like he was with her the whole time.

In the clan, the younger dragons spin tales about Saniya to the hatchlings. None of them have met her, yet the stories circulating about her describe her as a cruel and mischievous Mire monster or a witch who polymorphs young dragons into sheep or chickens. Saniya has heard bits of these rumors, but doesn't care to put an end to them. She knows she doesn't have malicious intentions, so that's enough for her. Additionally, the untrue gossip keeps cheeky young and even some of the older dragons away, subsequently keeping her vast gardens untrampled.
