Biography
Trinket
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ Inventor & Tinkerer Determined | Serious | Innovative Trinket has always had a creative mind. Even as a hatchling she was often found by her elders, tinkering with items that definitely did not belong to her. "But I can build it better!" she would say, and usually she was right. As she grew, she honed her mechanical and magical knowledge and skills, striving to create perfect creations. She spent her days crafting both helpful tools and entertaining contraptions, often utilizing her magic to make that screw just a hair tighter, that lens just a bit clearer, that metal just a smidge shinier. Soon her inventive ideas focused in on the entertaining automatons she created, and while she still crafted the useful tools her clan needed, she could not shake the idea that with the right tweaking and magic her automatons could be something beyond simple amusement providers. She wanted to create something more than the golems of the Shifting Expanse. She wanted to create metal creatures that could truly think and function on their own. And so Trinket traveled, hoping to find mentors to improve her technique and provide new ideas for how to make her automatons independent. Eventualy (after studying lightning clan technology, arcane clan magic, and having gained tutelage from a variety of technicians from across Sorneith) she felt she was ready for her first real attempt at creating independent automatons. She returned to her home clan, sequestered herself in her workshop, and began her experiment. Trinket worked for hours, blending her magic into each cog and screw, but something went wrong. As she began to instill a bit of her own life force into the little metal dragon - the spark she was surely the key to independent thought, her magic roared out of control, the automaton exploded, and in a bright flash of light she was knocked unconscious. When she awoke, Trinket found herself shrunk down into her former hatchling form. Since the somewhat disastrous experiment, Trinket has been more careful in her attempts. She created tools to help compensate for her size and implemented strict safety restrictions for her research. Despite the setback, she is as determined as ever to fulfill her dream. |
