Chinook is the kind of girl you would go to if you're feeling down and need someone to cheer you up. She is nothing but positive, kind and cheerful and always does her best to make sure her friends are having a great time while being around her. She loves to spread happy emotions and laughter but tends to keep all negative feelings and sad thoughts to herself so nobody else has to deal with them. The only dragon she feels safe about opening up to is Spelltide and not many others know of her real struggle with her self-asteem.

She used to be in a small outsider clan of Zephyr Dancers who had gotten lost from their original clan and was wandering about to find them again, but Chinook got separated from the others while wandering through a foggy forest and ended up alone. She went scared and lost around for two days before Quintus stumbled upon her and offered to take care of her. Chinook, as scared and lost as she was, didn't deny the offer as she didn't know what else to do.
