Biography

Bloodstone is a well known oddity at Wayfarer's Rest. It's not because she's a plague dragon (nearly all the flight's are represented in the clan, especialy with the coming and going of travelers), but her attitude tends to constantly put her at odds with the clan Matriarch.

And considering how her blood seems to bring out rather aggressive quirks in her children, one of her favorite things to do is to "taint" the Matriarch's prized bloodline. It's the idea of it rather than any power play as the line of sucession is so well secured that a fair number of the clan would have to be wiped out for any of her children to take over.

Butcher was born from one of these unions (quick side note: mating and breeding are considered two separate things entirely at Wayfarer's Rest so many sets of parents aren't mated couples), and close enough up the line that the Matriarch went on one of her patrols for a good week when the nest hatched (Froth was one of her grandchildren).

Almost form the get-go, Butcher loved hunting more than anything. He got into trouble more than once when the hatchlings practiced catching prey, but the nestkeeper quickly recognized him to have a similar personality to his much older half-sister, Kruda. Once he was old enough, she suggested the spiral take him out on some of her own hunts.

Very much a loaner, Kruda hated the idea and often would try to loose him while tracking or leave the clan to check traps without telling him. However, Butcher was incredibly persistent, and eventually she grudgingly started to respect his determination. As he got older and started acquiring new skills from her, the two became a fantastic duo, bringing in a surplus of meat and seafood that their mother (the clan's head chef) had to get creative with how to preserve it.
