Quiet and sometimes seeming to be dead to all worlds, Taida has been keeping an eye on her serene patch of forest for longer than many kitsune have been alive. Due to her years of being a protector, she tends to be very mothering to those who wander into her realm with peaceful intentions, taking it upon herself to heal those who need it. However, creatures who bring ill will are met with slow, agonizing death - poisoning from an overdose of camphor from the grand tree in the heart of the forest usually the cause.

Taida had just inherited guardianship of the forest when Kyouji, Gouyoku and Tenbatsu, just small kits at the time, wandered into her realm. She offered them protection among the trees as long as they worked hard to become strong protectors themselves and continues to give them shelter. She is also the one who gave the three their names once Kyouji attained Tenko status and Gou and Batsu fell from grace.
