Thoughts:

▸Leoven: Sweet, naive, he tries his best but he has a lot of trouble relating to others. Needs to be protected.

▸Zulily: She’s got an intimidating look exterior but she’s got a heart of gold.

▸Atney: Great guy, good friend, will listen to people talk for hours without complaint. Also defends Leoven from uncalled for comments so he’s just as upstanding as people like to say.

▸Fell: Really attentive, perceptive but relaxed and chill. The type of guy you want to hang out with, but who is too busy for it.

▸Jurek: A little bit of a doormat but he’s got only the best of intentions. Highly experienced and skilled.

A man’s man, some might say, Ramsay is loud and boisterous, completely fine with tooting his own horn and with stretching tales to make himself sound cooler. Some might say he’s charming, others would say he’s annoying. Those later people are allowed to be wrong.

Some say that Ramsay is the type to have a hero complex, whatever that means, alleging that he is so self-important that he is willing to sabotage his fellow Guards in order to be the savior himself.

Leoven and Ramsay joined the garrison of the guard at the same time, both skilled young adults looking to defend the walls of their new home from intruders. One of them was, seemingly, more suited than the other, Ramsay quickly becoming one of the more front-facing members of the guard. Visibly out and about, interacting with other people as he did, and confident in his ability as he was, he quickly gained a good reputation for his guardswork. Ramsay may not really love his job but he’s good at it, and that’s really all that matters, isn’t it?

Thoughts:

▸Hydrangea: The man knows what he’s doing, seems very loyal. Not the easiest guy to talk to but he’s often busy.

▸Keyal: Sassy, snarky, blunt, and brutal. Most people don’t like her and it’s for a good reason but she can be fun when properly prompted.

▸Rawlins: The man has no sense of humor. Focuses only on work and doesn’t engage in conversation. Not any fun, fine guard though.

▸Kinning: Young, like… real young. Not to mention naive and childish in disposition. How’d he get this posting?

Thoughts:

▸Kenryn: They are awkward but hardworking, a lot like Leoven but even less likely to talk.

▸High Priest: Mysterious and intimidating, he speaks with an air of authority that only comes from having the skill to back it up.

▸The King: Hardworking, seems empty and tired though.

▸Guard Captain: She’s strict, stern, and hardworking. Fine, but not any fun.

Biography

Ramsay was born into a loving family in the nature domain, the middle child of three boys with a loving father and mother. Riras, energy personified, was his older brother, while shy, quietness, was the existence of the younger Leoven. Even back then, Ramsay was a person with a lot to say, with a confident disposition, and with a loud voice. Maybe he talked over his brother one too many times, maybe that was why he was so mouse quiet, and this thought led to a deep guilt in Ramsay. Had he hindered his brother by being too much? This belief was only confirmed when on one afternoon his little brother said he was leaving. Leaving them. Ramsay couldn’t help himself, he shot out of his seat and immediately declared he was going along. ‘To keep you safe’ he had said to Leoven at the time.

Away from home they began, the world outside was big and full of things they knew nothing about. Out here there were people everywhere, some with different languages even, and all the towns were connected with trade. It was exciting! He hadn’t known there would be so many other individuals outside of the small space they took up in the forest. Ramsay was ecstatic, he couldn’t help himself but to try to make connections with every person he met. He wanted to know it all! But Leoven.. He didn’t seem to be enjoying himself out here. As much as Ramsay liked traveling, liked seeing new things, it seemed it was probably time to find a place to stay for Leoven.

A Shadow Kingdom with massive walls and a flourishing people seemed like a great fit. If there were so many people, coming and going, all the time that meant that it gave Leoven the optimal opportunity to make friends! Plus, it was safe here, and it looked like there were plenty of job opportunities around these parts. The original plan had been that they would stay the night here and continue on, but Ramsay had other plans. The next morning he insisted they see more of the Kingdom before leaving. To all corners of the walls they went, Ramsay talking to every person he met about opportunities. There were plenty but the most suitable one was becoming part of the guard. Leoven wanted to help people right? That was perfect! Thrilled that things had worked out so well, Ramsay was quick to begin setting up plans for them to live in the Blue Kingdom. He didn’t really want to be a guard, himself, but this just meant he’d get to stay close to his little brother. Win-win, right?

Personality

Loud, self-confident, Ramsay isn’t the type to need reassurance in his ability. He knows what he’s worth and then some, ready to take on any foe and any task with the assuredness of someone twice his age. This is not the type of person you can ignore easily, as his voice carries significantly, and he tends to be one of the types that you either love or hate.

Most people tend to love him, actually, despite how highly he seems to think of himself. His assured nature allows him to go through conversations with ease, never seeming to become upset or embarrassed by any mishaps by himself and quick to move on from misunderstandings. He may talk about himself quite a bit, and he does do that, but he’s so bombastic with the way he says things that most people don’t mind listening to him ramble for a while.

Personality

What’s the opposite of the word perceptive? Obtuse or something? That describes him pretty well. As much as he tries to keep track of other people’s emotions and needs, he often misreads social cues or jumps to the incorrect conclusion. This doesn’t tend to be an issue for him in the longrun, often being spun into a funny story later, but it’s uniquely obvious that this is a man who isn’t paying as much attention to other people as he is to himself.

As into himself as he tends to seem, Ramsay is not a bad guy. Yeah, he’s full of himself and too big for his britches but he’s got only the best of intentions. Caring, sweet, he does what he can to help the people around him and to lift people’s spirits. Ramsay loves people, he loves making other people happy, and he endeavors to brighten the day of whoever he meets on any given day. As much as he talks about himself, and as observant as he is, Ramsay has a good heart in the end.
