Out in one of the castle courtyards you find yourself watching a training session for new recruits of the castle guard. Striding through the ranks with a watchful eye is a massive blue and gold Guardian, clad nose to tail-tip in sturdy orange armor. As one recruit starts to slack after she passes him her tail whips out towards him, dealing him a sharp blow between the wings.

"No slouching in the ranks! Bad form young sir, bad form!"

The recruits around her cringe and double their effort, not wishing to be the next to draw her ire.


As the head of the guard Lani is almost always busy, whether she's patrolling or training new recruits. Ever since the attempt on Xander's life the other Guards have noted a change in her behavior. No longer joyful and lenient, she's upped her standards and made being accepted into the guard harder that ever. Some say it's because the one she loved, Carnation, ran away after the incident. Whatever the case may be, she's stepped up patrols and doubled down on enforcing the law on Isle Tallulah.
