Biography

1085.png Sapling

"A smile can tell you more than words can."

Born mute, Sapling was often kept company by the Fae dragons in the clan, who were more than happy to help teach him how to communicate through body language instead. Using his head feathers the way a Fae might use their frills, he caught on fairly quickly and came out of his shy little shell in no time. Now he's learning to harness his innate Nature Magic to help facilitate better communication with those who can't read body language. It's difficult, not being able to speak the common Coatl tongue, but it makes Sapling unique as one of few who can actually understand a monotone voiced Fae, not due to his breed's lack of eardrums but instead to his knowledge of their more subtle language.

Thanks to his disability, Sapling is thinking of becoming a clan Communicator or at least a type of Ambassador when dealing with outsiders. He is adept at reading facial expressions and seeing the minute details during conversations. Also if another clan has prominent members with disabilities of their own, Sapling is an easy dragon to deal with because he can relate to their personal struggles. He's very kind and open-minded, always seeking to understand and help when trouble arises. Curious by nature, thanks to his father's teachings, he is a very level-headed and adaptable dragon to have in the clan.
