ERCASSIEL The Pretty Little Liar Clan Role: Spy/Companion Mate: None Pronouns: he/him Bio: Cass hailed from one of the largest kingdoms in the Starfall Isles. Located just outside of the Starwood Strand, overlooking the gorgeous forest, there was a high walled, fantastic city and a great castle, all made of pure pink stone, and protected by such powerful magic that it had never once been attacked...from without. Within the court, intrigue ran rampant, assassinations and other sorts of treachery going on just underneath the gleaming, perfect facade. Cass was one of the most successful of the spies, brokering information to the highest bidder while enjoying the luxury of being the third son of a Lord and Lady. He knew exactly how to act to not arouse suspicion, pretending to be an air-headed, selfish prince always in pursuit of life's fleeting pleasures. No one suspected him of being as devilishly clever as he was, or of having his paws in so many different pies. No one, that is, until she came to court. A foreigner from a Brightshine kingdom, she arrived right in the middle of one of the busiest times of the year: the Gathering of Knowledge, where the scholars from kingdoms all across Sornieth would congregate to share things they'd discovered or learned over the past year. It was like heaven to Cass, because there were some secrets not meant to be shared, and he delighted in finding those out and whispering them into the ears of the right people. His intent was to arrange for the total embarrassment of his older brother, part of a years-long plan to oust him from his position of power. It would have gone off without a hitch, but somehow she found him out, seeing past his pretty face to the brain that worked beneath. It would have been flattering if the effects weren't catastrophic. Cass was forced to flee his home, to leave his mate and his family and everything he had ever known. His pretty face and what money he had managed to take with him went pretty far, but not far enough. He ended up deep in an unfamiliar wood, where he was found by a hunting party from Clan Mimsy. Seeing his chance, Cass played up the pathetic, lost, helpless beauty angle, and it worked. He's now sort of sulking around and trying to find a new way to live his life from here. Thoughts of vengeance are heavy on his mind, though he knows it would be unwise to pursue them. Someday, though, she will pay. That's a promise. |
