"Whatever warnings I had received could not have prepared me for seeing the Howlers in action. They moved like a river, swift and coursing and power, all rippling muscle and flashing fangs, appearing suddenly and disappearing just as quickly. When they gathered for the scheduled Crosswinds Summit, I could not parse their numbers through the thick fog and shifting hides. But one member stood out at their front, clear as day. She wore her yellow hide like a badge of honor against the muted greens of the territory. Scars marked her sides where ceremonial paint did not. And from underneath a golden wolf's cloak peered two flashing, dangerous eyes. This was not a dragon to make an enemy of."

Wolf is a straightforward, judicious leader who runs her company under the law of natural order. Which means caring for the sick and old and showing compassion to your fellows - until one of them needs a beatdown. As a leader, Wolf does not tolerate rebellion. She could use a little less arrogance and struggles to admit her mistakes. Wolf prizes hierarchy and order, but will not give respect unless she feels it is earned. -- Likes // rainy weather, bright moons, the hunt -- Dislikes // civilization, buildings, vegetables Background // BACKGROUND -- History // Wolf lived in the Crosslands long before stumbling across Blue and the Inn. In fact, she's spent almost her entire life in the Crosslands' misty vale, surviving off the land. Wolf was raised by her namesake, a pack of gale wolves who took in a fierce little lost hatchling as one of their own pups. Wolf learned their language and ways before she even knew other dragons existed. Chance brought a teenaged Wolf across the path of Kaen, herself also a teen at the time. Kaen gained Wolf's trust through slow patience and quiet words, and the mutual respect of a warrior. Though Wolf still preferred to live amongst her adoptive family, she became a frequent sight along the outskirts of the Inn. As another independent group within the Crosslands, Wolf's pack would occasionally come across lost dragons. Wolf took responsibility for bringing them to the Inn. But not every lost traveler wanted to go there. It started innocently, with a young spiral refusing to leave Wolf's pack alone. Rather than have her continue to scare away the prey, Wolf agreed to integrate her into the pack - if she could make the cut, of course. Twist, it turns out, very much could. As Wolf's fame grew, so did her following. The Howlers now make a fierce fighting company, dedicated to the protection of the Crosswinds and all who live within.
