Ohnivak

Ohnivak is a quiet, yielding kind of skydancer, skilled at listening and organization. He handles the mundane affairs of the lair, the little tedious details that his fierce commanding mate Zarptica has little patience for. Because if one word describes Ohnivak, it is patience. Nothing seems to phase him, and he watches everything with an inscrutable air, observing and waiting, taking notes in his ordered brain.

In Plague, he might have been a scientist, enacting endless repetitions of biological experiments with minor variations to find viral perfection, taking endless notes. That path is lost to him. Here, in Rockspeaker, he is content to serve his matriarch, organize the minute details, and watch. He cares little for the actual welfare of the clan or its goals; empathy is not something he possesses. But he does care for Zarptica, in his own way, or at least their needs and wants match well enough that he's unwilling to lose that relationship. And after all, the progression of the clan is an interesting experiment in progress, even if he is only the note-taker for that experiment.


The firebird, pták ohnivák, mated to Zarptica. They have dalliances with the imperial phoenixes Feng and Huang.
