Artemis unapologetically tells people that she only joined the group of warriors so that she could hunt bigger things than animals. The sprint after a fleeing foe and the rush of battle is what keeps her going in life, and while it makes her a good fighter, she's a handful for Themis to keep in line.

Mate: Themis, Hera, Hecate, and Nike. Artemis gets on better with Nike than anyone else, but in her heart she does adore them all with almost canine loyalty. The group is her "pack", essentially, and she protects them fiercely.
