How could she do this to her? Maleficent stormed angrily in line, following the rest of the clan as they made their way to the Southern Icefield. She had just gotten used to living in the shadows. It was her home. She couldn't handle the instability. Her shoulders began to tremble as she choked back the tears. Her mate, Akva, pressed her body closer to hers as they walked and whispered in her ear in an attempt to soothe her. Akva had lived in the Glass Shatter Clan much longer than Maleficent had and she knew there was no point in challenging the matriarch's decision. What was done was done. They were moving to the ice lands and to do otherwise would be to relinquish the security of living within the clan.
