Name: Leif Occupation:Disgraced Paladin Clan: None Species: Skydancer Gender: Female Orientation: Prefers Females Theme Song:The Truth Beneath the Rose by Within Temptation Relationships Orlaith - Former Knight and Priestess Cendre - Girlfriend Jasper - Thief, Reluctant Friend Emmaline - A prophetess Past xxxLeif was given to the church of the Lightweaver known as The Way, under the authority of the priestess Orlaith, to study to become a paladin serving the light. Leif enjoyed the work, and studied hard. She become the apprentice of Orlaith herself after much hard work, which was an honor for the young skydancer. She helped prepare Orlaith to speak to the Lightweaver, cleaned the sanctuary, and assisted her in taking care of the younger apprentices- including the orphans. This was where she met Cendre. Cendre had been rescued from a Lightweaver cult led by a cruel, fake priest. As a result, Cendre believed the Lightweaver to be just as cruel, and was jaded against the church. Though Leif tried to change the fae's mind, she watched as the fae's hatred grew more intense. When Cendre exposed Orlaith as a fraud, that was the last straw. Leif watched The Way slowly disband until only she was left of a crumbling empire. Now she lives in a tiny hovel, her love for Cendre and the Lightweaver her only light in the gloom. Personality xxxLeif is utterly devoted to Orlaith and to the Lightweaver. She, like most paladins, was brought up in the way of knowledge and justice. As a result, she fights fiercely against the thieves guild that has overrun her city, not knowing Orlaith is behind it all, thinking her master has fled. Her leisure time is spent patrolling the city or reading the dwindling tomes in the city's crumbling library. She searches for the truth behind The Way's dismemberment, and a dwindling hope of reviving her paladin brethren, or to join another paladin group. Her biggest flaw is her obsessiveness, which drives her to neglect her health in order to attain her goals. Cendre often sneaks away to escort Leif home, and has marked her in order to not be jumped by the guild. |
