As the patriarch of the clan grew sicker the greed in his children grew stronger. Caligula was the oldest of the offspring and therefore thought to be the rightful king. However some did not wish for him to become patriarch, for they saw him as an irresponsible alcoholic that was not ready to lead a clan. Two sons and one daughter battled for the throne; each having their own group of followers within the clan that rallied together in order to overthrow rival supporters. The dispute quickly turned violent between the residents and the siblings. Caligula ordered loyal guards and assassins to murder and or poison his brother and sister, denizens had fights in the city streets, the clan was ripped apart from within. Ultimately the kingdom fell to chaos and ruin. Some escaped, many died. Caligula now resides in the kingdom of Lumiere, drinking away the clans supply of wine. He can often be found lounging on one of the many marble columns that decorate the forum, basking in the sunlight. He prefers the finer things in life and will not settle for anything but the best; he takes immense pleasure in drinking and partying. He doesn't speak about his past much, unless it's to dazzle people at a party of some kind. He doesn't want people to know just how far he went to become king... how far he'd go. Caligula's desire to be king still burns inside his gilded heart. |
