Biography

Renato ????
Skittish | Observant Renato could hear nothing but the crashing of thorny bramble around him as he ran through the night, having no knowledge of where he was heading and only knowing that it must be far from this dark, wicked place. He was not knew to the horrors of battle, but that scene at the ruins was no battle. It was a massacre. There had been hatchlings and adults alike. He shut his eyes tight and continued to run, though his feet ached and bled from superficial wounds. Thats when he heard a very distinct sound through the foilage around him. Some sort of wicked laughter that rang out from all around. Had they found him so quickly? How? His fur pattern typically helped him blend in with any naturally busy area, and the woods were no different. The how didn't matter now; all that mattered was escaping. But just as the thought crossed the terrified tundras mind, he felt his body fly through the air and collide roughly with a dead tree. |
A large, vile imperial stood before him, wings fully unfurled as she stood on hind legs and gazed at him with a wicked smile. It was the woman who had greeted him at the entrance. Eve had seemed so different then; like an oversized child with a sweet soft smile and curious eyes. Renato cursed his bloodline quietly and stood on shaky limbs, ready to fight the large beast. "Awfully courageous, aren't you? It's almost as if you didn't turn tail and leave behind your friends at the alter~" Eve chided. Her voice was soft and sweet still but this time it only made him feel sick in his stomach. "I can't fight a clan," he agreed cautiously, head lowered as he glared up at the large dragon. "Luring you away into a one on one gives me much greater odds at victory." Eve laughed again, letting her tail lash out and strike the tundra, who crumbled to the ground again. How was she so strong? Renato's eyesight went fuzzy for a moment, and when it cleared he found that Eve's maw was inches from his. He got to see that cruel smile up close now, and each sharp tooth gleamed in the faint moonlight. This was it. This was where his story was going to end; barely an adult and no children to speak of yet. "Ummmm... Am I interrupting?" |

Worst Nightmare

The two dragons blinked in surprise as hearing a foreign voice, and Renato's head swung to the right to find the source. A wildclaw who wore a wolf's pelt stared intently at the two of them, clearly unaware of what exactly she was witnessing. The tundra's fur stood on end, and he was just about to shout at her to run away, to save herself, but Eve was too fast and attacked first. Her large body went up, and then slammed down on the wildclaw with a satisfied thump. Or so she thought. The wildclaw was no longer in the spot she'd just been moments before. The imperial checked under her body, confusion clear on her features, while a playful voice rang out behind Renato. "Oh woah! That was close. Do you treat all your guests this way?" Renato squeeked softly as a strong neck ran itself under his body and pulled him up onto the back of the seemingly fearless wildclaw woman, who gave him a reassuring smile before looking back at Eve. "Well, I was lost but I remembered where I was headed now. Thank you! I'll be taking this!" And just like that, she was gone, leaving Eve alone and still completely dumbfounded. |
Somehow, the sound of crunching bramble had become comforting to the tundra as he was whisked away by the lively woman. It wasn't long before they escaped the forest of nightmares, taking in a breath of fresh air. The girl placed him down on the ground, checking out his paws and his body to see if there'd been any real damage from the blows he'd sustained. When she was fully satisfied, she gave a soft nod and plopped down beside him. "You saved me. Thank you so much," he said shyly, giving a cheerful smile. "Are you alone? Did you see anyone else?" She thought for a moment then shook her head. "Nope, didn't see anyone else. I just thought you were being bullied and had to step in, you know? An adventurer isn't worth anything if she cant hold her own." "Well... what's your name? I probably wont remember it, tundra memory and all, but ..." "Leliana!" Leliana, huh? It was a strong name for a brave woman. Renato smiled, committing to memory the scent and eye-color of the strangely dressed wildclaw. Yes, he would make sure to never forget his saviour. |
