She can only hope that the ice that she surrounds herself with will drown the ache in her heart.

It's a feeling that cuts deep, leaves scars so fresh that any amount of healing would only unearth more pain.
The spotlights gazing down in expectance only stir up the dismal horrors of a play gone erroneous. The dust blanketing the stage was a witness to that secret, one that stays buried in the abyss of her mind, the deepest pits of her heart.
To heal. To have one bit of release from those memories poking and prodding, would be a blessing.
The ice, the towers of frozen structures, the snow and the frost, maybe they were made for her. As a sanctuary, somewhere to bury her sorrows so they could melt away with the morning's warmth.
Maybe she will be freed from her mental prison, once the snow falls once more.
