Biography

○ T R E A S U R E ○
• King Pro-tem • Crowned Prince •

Born to the royal bloodline of Ishkir, Treasure grew up comfortably, never truly wanting for much and doing as he pleased. He spent his younger days learning the ways of the kingdom from politics to their long history. In his spare time he would convince the head of the guards to train him to fight with a spear, making an expectional student and receiving many praises from his teacher. As he grew older he made plans to one day join in fighting for the kingdom he loved to both protect his citizens but also for his beloved family.

As he came of age, tradegy struck while out with his eldest brothers. The trio was attacked, and while they did all they could it was only Treasure who survived, though just barely. He was rendered unconcious from his injuries and shock of seeing his brothers dead, and with the job they were paid to do almost done, their attackers fled the scene but not without grabbing Treasure before they left.

The scene would later be discovered by the guards and the king himself when the three princes didnt return. The mangled bodies of two of his sons was something that would plague the king with nightmares for years to come. While his youngest son of the time, Treasure, wasn't found, after searching for sometime the grieving kingdom accepted that he too was more than likely dead.

While all of Ishkir mourned, Treasure, damaged and broken, was brought to the same man who ordered for his brothers to be murdered and kept as his trophy. For many years he would suffer abuse from him, nothing more than a pretty face that was flaunted and shown off. Overtime Treasure lost his sense of self, the bright young man he was before seemingly long gone along with most memories of his childhood. Eventually, he knew little else than of this man, Griffin, even forgetting what his own name was, simply believing it to be "Treasure."

Years had come and gone, Treasure stayed within Griffins possession, that is until one day a chance appeared, a chance to escape. This one particular day, Griffin with away on business, business of what exactly was never something one wished to dwell on, but he was gone and that's what mattered most. And despite being his most prized trophy, Treasure was left unguarded, Griffin having believed that he was broken enough to not bother trying to escape anymore, not like he did when he was younger. But even to Treasures own surprise, something in him screamed for him to run, to get out and never look back... And that's exactly what he did.

He was unprepared, laughably so, having not thought to bring a thing with him, but all that mattered in that moment was he was out, he was free. Could he hear the guards yelling and searching for him? Well of course he could, but even has he ran with all he could, all he could focus on was the cold air rushing against him and the night sky above him. He never dared to stop and look back, instead he chose to run till he felt he could run no more and then some. When Treasure eventually stopped, running on rumes and his legs feeling like they'd fall out from under him, did he really take it all in. He was finally free, which alone felt amazing, there was no one to stalk his every move anymore... But he was left with one problem, where was he to go now?

The answer became simple: away, away from anywhere but where he had been for deities knows how long, and that's exactly what he did.

Treasure became a traveler, or maybe a nomad, the exact word never truly mattered to him, all he knew was to survive he couldn't stay in one place for too long. He eventually began to regain a sense of self, though far different from his childhood. He was more reserved now, far from easy to befriend, but was still more than willing to help those in need. His travels eventually brought him to kingdom of Aeolia, where things would finally start becoming better for him.

Aeolia would eventually become his home for many years, though he still traveled often and for lengthy amounts of time, he would always return to this kingdom. During his travels, Treasure would slowly amass a small group of companies who chose to travel and work with him, forming a little mercenary group of sorts. Crowe, his right hand man and closest friend, never one to back down from a fight but arguably the smartest of the group when in unfortunate situations. Set, a feircesome woman, though equally as gentle and kind, who has a knack for medicines and poisons. Melasune, a young scholar, proficient in magic, and one to always have a snide comment ready on hand. And finally Kaiser, a gambling man and a con man through and through, but one of the most reliable people if given the chance.

One fateful night while back in Aeolia, Treasure and Crowe would decide to go out for the night, needing a small break from the group's recent journey and deciding a drink was a fine idea. The pair, after having successfully having a few drinks and a bar fight (in which they adamantly remind people that they won), headed back to their lodging, but not after stopping to help a man in trouble. They dealt with the one causing the problem, more than likely trying to steal the money of the other, and that's when Treasure met him, the one who he knew instantly he'd do anything for: Ciel.

Ciel, as Treasure would later learn, was a fashion designer for the more wealthy clientele of the cities residents. A gentle and kind soul, one willing to helps others and to stand up for what he believed in. The connection between the two was almost instantaneous, almost like something out of a fairy tale. They would meet again not long after their first encounter, and continue to from then onwards. Over the years the two would officially become a couple, enjoying their time together and apart and one day adopting adopting their son, Eloi.

As time went on the small family would take comfort in their life, eventually all choosing to go on a small vacation of sorts. The group of seven would go from town to town, city to city, eventually staying in a lively port city for some time. During their stay there, Treasure would receive many odd looks and hushed whispers. After having had enough of it and pressing a few unlucky souls about it all they would be told that those in the city are familiar with the people of Ishkir, who Treasure clear as day resembled, but they all found it odd that no one else of the group seemed to be from there.

The group eventually decided to make the journey to Ishkir, wondering what the fuss seemed to be about despite Treasure's own protests of not wanting to go. He couldn't quite explain it, but part of him didn't want to see the place. Something about it seemed to scare him a bit, giving the others a bit of hesitation but ultimately all deciding it would be for the best. So they set off, the closer they got the more reserved Treasure was but there was no going back at this point, they were close enough to reaching their goal that they're sure it would be fine.

Ishkir, the gilded kingdom, welcomed them with open arms. A kingdom above what any of them had seen in their travels, one to truly marvel at. They would explore the bustling place for some time undisturbed, until the shouts of a young woman became too loud to ignore and Treasure was practically tackled by her. The woman, Paragon, had tears in her eyes as she hugged him, going on about brother this, brother that, and how she couldn't believe he was alive. While it took some time to actually get her to calm down, they would all learn that Treasure was supposedly a prince of the kingdom, though she kept referring him by a name he didnt recognize, insisting she called him Treasure instead.

After a good deal of pestering, Paragon would bring the group to the palace, where Treasure would be reunited with an awe-struck Eliora, his mother. After her tearful reunion with him, the group was given rooms for their stay and ushered off to rest after their long journey. The night ended up being a long one for Treasure, overwhelmed with all that had happened but unable to remember anything of what he was told was true, but was comforted by his loving husband, being assured that in time things would come together.

Now, just a few short years later, Treasure has taken up the mantle of King Pro-Tem with assurance from his sickly father to guide the kingdom. Though much of his memory is still lost to him, both his new and old family have melded into one.

Treasure slowly but surely started becoming one of the best kings that Ishkir has seen. His long-standing friends would also go down in the kingdoms history, their names known throughout the land as the four generals that stood beside the king in whatever way they were needed.
