Zangetsu

Been a while since I've last caught you! Let's see...

Ooh, I'm seeing a few g1s sprinkled amidst your newcomers. Props to those! The road you now walk is one filled with gem genes and eternal wallet damnation and I wish you all the best screaming down it. <3 (And it's worth it; they're so cool.)

But anyway, Zangetsu! This guy's always going to be Hollow Ichigo in my mind - I phased out of Bleach past the Arrancar arc and that last-chapter twist didn't stick well in my mind. I'm always going to remember this dude as a laughing psychopath (and an absolutely fantastic character for fanfiction, I always flocked to stories that developed him as his own part of Ichigo instead of just... shoving him down in the ol' subconscious after the Vizard arc. Sue me, Inner Hollows are cool.) and I spotted him from miles away. Some fandragons, you can only do so much to make the character work with Flight Rising's options; other times you just land it, and this is one of those times. That sheer white on white with red-lined accents was the defining characteristic of all of Ichigo's Hollow forms - like Aang, contour was a great choice here for bringing the character to mind.

The mage's ivory set does a perfect job for the inverse of Ichigo's shihakusho, right down to the white copy of his zanpakuto at his belt. (Or the true one? Man, this all gets kind of confusing in hindsight.) It's the same with the renaissance pants - their baggy style translates great to hakama - and the birdskull mask is perfect for a Hollow, especially with those yellow eyes gleaming underneat. The only thing missing from the picture is the permanent grin.
