Bijou is an unexceptional mage, specializing in supportive and healing spells. Not able to hold her own in a fight, but not wanting her talents to go to waste, Mousie assigned Bijou a conservator partner, Sage, to help defend the clan's territory.
Sage and Bijou get along reasonably well. Sage is ecstatic to have company on her lonely wanderings, and Bijou is glad not to be so alone. Though Sage can get on her nerves every once and a while, given her penchant for continuous conversation.
Bijou is terrified of the dark, dismal forests they patrol; home of intangible monsters and viscous intruders. Sage, on the other hand, is fearless, and talks loudly, even in the scariest and most dangerous parts of the woodlands (much to Bijou's dismay).
Her magic is not the only reason why Bijou was sent out with Sage. She's also adept at recognizing rare plants and herbs. When spotted, Bijou will mark their place on her map, creating a detailed survey of the local flora for the clan's herbalists, potion masters, and gatherers.
