Scryer Aysun
Pool Scryer
Subdued | Knowledgeable | Dignified
Nickname(s): Ace
"Do you need some scrying done?"
Age: Adult Pronouns: She/Her
Awareness: Vaguely Aware Status: Content
Aysun is a well practiced scryer, having trained under Keen for several years before the old clan collapsed. While her mutated appearance may be unsettling to some, she is a gentle dragon with a welcoming nature, especially toward those seeking her guidance. She often performs her scrying at a small building at the edge of the mayor's property, but she also makes house calls with a small stone basin that Isa will often carry for her.
During the evenings she will often leave the manor to head to the lower districts. Among the old markets stands the monstrous dragon known as Virruk - Aysun's beloved partner. Both were changed by the wyrmwound in their separate youths, and because of that she feels an almost kindred connection. While her myriad of mutated horns do not make her appearance ghastly, they make it difficult for her to feel as though she belongs, and rarely they pain her.

Aysun was a sickly orphan when Mishka found her. The warmth of his smile, and his fur, are some of her first concrete memories. Being brought the Scarred Wasteland was a strange experience, made frightening when her first set of mutated horns began to grow. Mishka and Nivur were always there to comfort her and soothe her fears. Growing up while her mother was missing left her empty inside, but Nivur's return has taken away some of that hollowness. Though she was without her mother for a long time, Aysun still had her little siblings to focus on. Lucasta and Erebus were often by her side as hatchlings. They clung to her when Mishka wasn't nearby, and she doted on them. The trio are still close now as adults. Aysun will often run small errands for the Wildclaws when they're in the city just as an excuse to spend time with them while they work. While she was never all that close to the father of her niece and nephew, Aysun has still tried to her best to be welcoming to the Guardians as they've integrated themselves into the family. While she finds Frederic to be jovial and hardworking, she often worries about Arianne and her less than legal brawling pastime. |
~ ~ ~
Aysun feels safe and accepted by Virruk's side, and most importantly, loved. Living in a predominantly meat-eating household has helped ease some of the queasiness she feels when she visits her at the butcher stall, though she still finds it gruesome work to watch. Away from the bustle of the market the two can often be found wandering along the docks. Aysun and Virruk had once gone an expedition to the outskirts of the Hewn City, and it was there that they met Isa. The Longneck served as their guide and was sociable despite the language barrier. It was a bit of surprise for them both when Isa later turned up in Verboten with the intention of living there. They now serve as a guard at the mayoral manor, and a part-time assistant with Aysun's scrying. |
