"What do you mean you can't see them...?" |

A faint brush on his shoulder indicated to the sand colored imperial that he wasn't alone, and the low hum within the throat of the other indicated to him just who it was. "... Khrone..?" The male asked, faintly bumping his shoulder in to the other. The darker imp nodded, making a contented noise to confirm to the other that he was indeed there. He didn't speak much, though, that wasn't out of the ordinary for Khrone. Ever since he had come to Clan Selenite, silence was a virtue, it seemed. "Someone approaches.. They've spoken - so it will be so." Cryptic as always. Whenever the mysterious imperial did speak, it was always ominous, and left the others to wonder just wat he was talking about. "They come on the tides... They pull them down and under like the waves of the River Styx." Apophis listened, furrowing his brow and nodding ever so faintly to the other. Was someone really out there...? Apophis never understood just who 'they' were, but he respected the other none-the-less, as he never seemed to be wrong with his prophecies.. So instead, he closed his eyes behind the cloth mask, listening more intently to the crash of the waves. There were certainly some irregularities.. Could it be that there was someone else down there...? Were they alright...? Blessed by the dark mother herself, Khrone has always had a knack for seeing that which wasn't meant to be seen. Like layering a piece of paper over one another, and then holding it to the light, both planes are able to be seen at once through his eyes. It is due to this, the ability to distinguish between the living and the dead is moot. For the early years of his childhood, he had been raised to believe this was perfectly normal; for both of his parents had important jobs in assuring the rest of the deceased. Perhaps it was due to his upbringing, that the veil between the underworld and the land of the living was so transparent. No older than the boy could walk, he was out on his own, traveling further and further from home with every misadventure. If one were to ask the imperial what one single moment had changed the course of his life, he'd say without hesitation: it was the day he fell in to the River Styx. Fate is funny that way, you know? Like the tides of a river, it pulls you with no knowledge of where it will lead you. Air is hard to grasp at times, and more often than not - it pulls you under. however, you fight. You survive. You struggle with all of your being, and you just might make it. It has been said that your entire life flashes before your eyes before you die. This was not the case for Khrone. Clear as day, he could see her, the woman cloaked in red, her silver hair spilling over her shoulders, and out of her robes. She spoke to him within those moments, the Crone. Khrone was found by Cereus an older Imperial with a knack for being fatherly by nature, and pulled from the white rapids. It was within this moment that he was taken in by Clan Selenite, and given the chance of a new beginning. Khrone represents the most frightening and misunderstood aspect of the triple Goddess, as he represents our destruction, decay and death. But let it not be forgotten that death is a part of the cycle. Here, as in nature, the death of Winter is followed by the promise of rebirth in the Spring. |
Offspring of the the one who guards the dead and the one who waves the souls into the Oblivion for their final rest.
Blessed with strong ethereal magic and with ability to visit both the living and the dead realm.
He was called by the Dark and the bloody moon placed its remark upon him
