I just want to know if you need any reagents while I'm around the territory on patrol. I think today's route for me is the Ascent.

The Ascent... hmmm. Yes, actually. Could you get me some cliff lions? I know they're commonplace, but not near Central, and they flourish in the Ascent. Oh - and if you spot them, I'm very low on reedcleft sparklers. I'd like some more of those. Thank you, in advance.

Pronounced "Ray-phide"

Tucked away in a corner of the caverns of the Wide Sky clan's lair, Raphide has set up an entire laboratory. Most other dragons are not allowed in- he worries that the energetic spirals will break something, and the huge Imperials and Guardians can barely fit anyways. He alone possesses the delicacy it takes to perform experiments with the fragile glassware and breakable equipment that he has either salvaged from expeditions to long-abandoned ruins or convinced Aergid to create from old images found in not-quite-ruined books.
Raphide has no particular goal in mind for his studies; he simply wants to see what will happen to things if he messes with them. His lair is connected to an apothecary cavern, which is a cool windowed room filled to the brim with all sorts of ingredients, labeled neatly and stored on shelves in jars or boxes.

He is always very careful and fastidious with his experiments, never taking too many risks; he'd never want to end up hurting himself and upsetting his wife, of course!

Recently he's taken to assisting Aurelai in the creation of many different potions and poultices to aid in healing, magical or otherwise. It's been very helpful for the clan, and the Plateau's excellent growing environment makes it ideal for cultivating species that might not ordinarily be found there, leading to a robust greenhouse of ingredients they can use. Extra supplies are sold off for the clan.
