Icarus
The Fallen
Icarus - Bastille
The Fighter - The Fray
Living beyond your years
Acting out all their fears
You feel it in your chest
~
Loneliness has always been with me, with me
Maybe we were meant to be on our own,
But I gotta try or it will destroy me,
'Cause baby we don't have to be all alone.

The limited stories of what Icarus was before the fall of the kingdom tell of a dragon larger than life. He was brave and proud and determined to keep the peace and keep others safe. It was a vow that he had took that he intended to honor with every ounce of himself.
When tragedy struck, those legends became lost to the kingdom. Many say the lands had been burned. What was once a fruitful and beloved kingdom had fallen to rot and greed. Looters had scattered their people. A vengeful family took over. Icarus emerged from the ashes to find his lost family. It took many moons for him to finally find Violet and Silas again. Silas welcomed him back with open arms, though many things had changed.
In the disaster, Icarus had lost use of both of his wings and most use of his front two legs. Suffering from bad burns, he constantly faces pain from his ailments, though he does his best to hide his discomfort.
For many moons he struggled with his self identity. As Aslan and Violet sought to find out a way to reclaim their kingdom, Icarus had spent the time shrinking more in on himself. No potion nor herbal treatment could help the pain that plagued him. It got to such a point that he was unable to train with Silas and Esmenda. Feeling his self worth drain, Icarus quickly closed in on himself.
He stopped speaking to others. Afraid of being ridiculed or pitied, Icarus took his likings to the library in which he spent many, many days reading. It became his new past time.
In the library is where he met his Love, Boudicca. Unaware of his importance to the kingdom's reclaim, Icarus and him quickly bonded through shared silence. Icarus was fascinated with the way Boudicca was able to write, and always wanting more Icarus soon gave him things to write and supplies to paint. They were often found sound asleep next to each other in front of the roaring fire.
From there their love grew. It is mostly shared in letters to each other after Boudicca had been 'exiled' from the kingdom. Often, Bouddica sneaks into the castle to spend precious moments with Icarus.
For now, he's mostly retired from his guard duties and does his best to help maintain the extensive library.
