I've been sent to stay with Clan Nerasis. Thana said they call this place the "Dragon Hotel", but that seems like a fairly stupid name to me since, excluding familiars, dragons are the only ones who stay in lairs.

When I first arrived I was greeted by Alera and her mother Vysa. I was then left to converse with Alera alone for a time while Vysa went to let the relevant authorities know I had arrived. Alera is certainly a charming individual, I've never met a tundra with such vigor before...

Anyway. Vysa returned after a time with a fancy looking skydancer, whom she promptly introduced as Lucian, the clan wind ambassador. The two tundras left after that, though I was able to catch Alera's eye before she left. That last glance felt electric.

Once Lucian and I were alone, he explained how things work in Clan Nerasis. Apparently, they have an ambassador for each flight. The chosen ambassador must originate from the region that correlates with the flight they represent. Each dragon within the clan has the right to vote for the clan leader, the only requirement being that the leader must have been born within the clan. The current leader is a friendly skydancer called Nystalis- Lucian seems to really look up to him.

Lucian then gave me a brief tour of the lair. They have a fairly inconspicuous layout; a banquet hall, comfortable sleeping areas and plenty of recreational areas. Lucian refused to show me where anyone worked, though- he said that it wasn't something for outsiders to see. It was quite late when I arrived, so almost everyone was getting ready to turn in for the night. I caught a vague glance of the nesting chamber too, but everyone inside was already asleep.

Tirsen is... Funny. He thinks he's so amazing just because he's able to mess with Lucian, which is fairly amusing in itself. But I will admit, seeing the stuck up ambassador getting all worked up whenever Tirsen comes near? That's absolutely hilarious. I've noticed him watching me too every so often, but I haven't done anything suspicious around him so I'm not quite sure why. I'm nothing like Lucian, either... I'm aware of my abilities and make the most of them, but I'm not one to flaunt what I have.

I came across an Opheodris Serthis while looking around the lair and I can't seem to get rid of it. It has a quick mind though, so I decided to name it Jaze and keep it as my familiar. Jaze knows what goes on around the clan, and actually enjoys revealing incriminating secrets. It has been immensely helpful in gathering information. I can easily act like I know more about what he's saying when we're talking to the clan members, leading to them letting down their guard and spilling much more than they really should.

Jaze is aware by now that I'm more curious than most dragons would be in my situation and I'm fairly sure that it has its suspicions regarding my true purpose here. It hasn't done anything besides giving me an odd look now and then, but I've managed to quell its suspicion for the most part. Jaze is loyal to clan Nerasis but has come to trust me; It would not want to leave the clan, but I believe I could convince it to freely give me most if not all of its knowledge regarding the clan. Though, since I specialise in gathering information, it might prove risky for me to attempt any further manipulation. If a specialist in manipulation were to be sent, Jaze could easily be made to gather more sensitive intel.

Unfinished
