Biography

NOT FOR SALE, TRADE, OR LENDING

Perhaps it is the startling cold that will freeze the air, or the thin sheets of frost that crackle underclaw that unsettles you so. Sound does not echo here, no, it almost seems to freeze in the air immediately and drift to the ground like freshly fallen snow.
A crackle of fire startles you out of your reverie (or perhaps, was it more ice?) as an imposing and startlingly pure white imperial glares at you from a plush mantlepiece. At the growling of a wolf, you make yourself scarce.

Diamond Ring Mirror
Cold. Everything was always cold in the Southern Icefield. His clan was always cold, militant; his parents, with their harsh standards for his brother and him; his fellow dragon clans, with their standoffishness when he went to their borders for aid when he failed to meet all of the expectations placed upon him.

The Beastclans were the one's who gave him a warm place to stay. Fed him, clothed him from the blistering ice and snow. It would be the Beastclans he began to steal from his kin for, using his training to defend the Longneck herds by slaughtering any dragon that dared put them to harm. It would be at the Beastclan's insistence that he would eventually bring other outcasts together to steal from the Icewarden himself.

When he finally got himself out during the confusion of the staged prison break, it was once more to the Beastclans he fled, tailed by a few other curious individuals also seeking asylum as well as the long-forgotten Gaolers in due time-- and to the Windswept Plateau they were smuggled.

XOrigin of Name » Butchering of Turac, Turace from the Draconic Name Dictionary meaning "Cold; Frozen; Ice; North," Unknown suffix.

Gender » Male, He/Him
XOrientation » Sapiosexual

Theme » MISSIO · Kamikazee

Familiar » Bazzoi
XRole of familiar » Enforcer, This winter wolf frequently monitors the clan alongside Turak'sin and ensures that everything remains to standard even when his master's back is turned. He tends to take naps under Turak's wings.

XHas the worst reputation in the clan by a longshot
XCan't really understand how to interpret art, which means it must not be worth it
XExpects perfection for everyone in everything they do
XCan sometimes be seen absentmindedly chewing on ice for some reason

Notes
XOriginally he absolutely was responsible for the attempted murder of 90% of the clan (actually, was it attempted if at least 60% canonically "died?"), but this was before the beastclans rose up, so now it's that he's kinda indirectly responsible, which isn't good but it's moderately better?

Relationships

Ixith
MATE
Ixith is... challenging, to Turak. Generally, he's not quite sure how to feel about her. He's watched leader after leader fall from their thrones in this clan, and he's been patiently expecting Ixith to follow suit in preparation to take control himself.
Instead, Ix has not only proven him wrong but managed to take Toli'orji and challenge all of his expectations at every turn. Turak has grown to embrace their bickering and even not completely hate her company.

Coeus
SON
Turak has bred before, but not many survive long enough to make it to exalt. Turak had long since accepted that it would not be possible for any of his children to survive, and so had hesitated to disappoint Ixith, but ultimately had begun to prepare for the worst. When Coeus had beat the odds with no little luck and perseverance from his mate, he had awkwardly begun to do his best to show what little affection he could manage for his blood. Sadly, this often comes through stilted tutoring and sponsorship.

Mesperyian
ALLY
Turak's escape from the Fortress of Ends didn't go without notice. As is expected-- not many do so and live to tell the tale. He and his fellow prisoners, who numbered less than ten total, served as inspiration for a plethora of others still rotting beneath the ice. Messi itself was a recent slip, following whispers to locate Turak to help host it in refuge from those seeking to find them. Turak and it have plenty to bond over from their shared experiences, and Messi's special talent in eating sound is a blessing that Turak is happy to have around.

turaksin looks like a traveler to me. he's used to being entirely alone for the years of his life, and is constantly moving from place to place to find some sense of peace and home. i imagine he's used to eating ice and snow to survive during his travels.

jokes aside, they seem scary, like the defender of the fortress of ends, determined to drag any unfortunate souls inside
