______ Born in a plague clan, Apheleia never felt right in her home, despite the hue of her eyes, and her loving parents she felt like she was in the wrong element all her yearling years. Eventually when she learned flight she wrote a hurried scribbled note of her leave. She thanked her parents but told them she had to leave; by her own whim.

______ She traveled far for a fledging, surprisingly enduring the harsh weather of the plaguelands, and past the edgy expanse between the wind dragons and the sea of a thousand currents, she dared not use her wings, but walked, once she hit the Ashfall Waste though, she felt strangely 'home'. Like something clicked inside her. Once she found the nearest lava pit she would go through with a terrible ritual; she wanted to purify herself from her original element.

______ This horrific ritual left her burned, as she tore what she could of her first two layers of skin and cauterized it, in an effort to purify herself from the virus strains that attached to her feathers, scales and fur. All her feathers forcefully plucked and thrown into the pit of lava before her, she didn't want any part of her to infect this new land. After getting every last feather she painfully curled her bare wings back up and walked for what she could into a small little den, letting herself heal for the next few days, purified by fire.

B I O G R A P H Y

______ It was a few weeks later as she strolled through the stifling lands that she came across something so strange she went to go see it. The others inside had noticed her and hurried out to the front of their building, young dragonesses; all wearing flowing garments yet they remained quiet until one spoke up. 'This is one of the few FlameCaller's temples, what do you seek?'

______ Apheleia's first reaction was if she could join, after several hesitant looks and a day or two of discussions with the Oracles, it was agreed, but first she had to pass a few tests. Apheleia did everything in her power and was eventually accepted to join the young priestess' of Flame. Ecstatic she did what she had to, to learn all she could of her own heart-felt home. She never failed to impress the other priestess' and oracles of her faith despite her alignment. They grew to accept her more despite the color of her eyes, as she worked hard to prove that she was born in simply the wrong element of choice.

______ Over time she had come to learn the secrets and appreciate the lore of the Deity, though as she grew she progressed from Priestess to the possibility of becoming an Oracle. She was given a task to return back to the plaguelands - despite her objections to learn of the land, and to test her spirituality. Soon enough after wandering she was found by a migrating royal, who had admired her. She offered to join her on her flight to a known Plague-Clan which she reluctantly followed. Her new 'friend' Radiant, eventually turned out to be her new mate. Though they mostly courted as a priestess/oracle could never be in a 'defined' relationship as it might disturb the spiritual connection she has to her new-found goddess.
