Scimitar has a brilliant mind. He's clever, witty, and intelligent - booksmart and streetsmart. This guy has it all. When it comes to strategy, Scimitar is the one that the higher-ups call on. He knows exactly what he's doing at all times, always has a hand on things. The incredible thing is that this all comes to him without a second of training. Some say that he was just born with it. None question it - they can use a dragon like Scimitar to keep the Riparian Clan safe. This gift often earns him stunning rewards, including his task. Getting his way is something that Scimitar is used to - so much so, that if someone denies him what he believes should be his, he doesn't mind getting physical. Fighting has always been a part of Scimitar's lifestyle - it proves one's self strong to their clan, and a clan needs strength to survive. Thinking on the spot is something Scimitar holds talent in. He doesn't need time to think up some elaborate plan - they seem just to come to him naturally.

Hatched and raised on the edges of the Tempest Spire, Scimitar was forced to grow up tough. The constant bellowing of the eternal stormclouds, the crackling of the air as electricity zapped around him was normal. It was daily life. He never knew calm, he never knew any kind of nurturing behavior. There was never any room for it; those who weren't taught to be tough enough wouldn't survive; if they did, they left the region as soon as their wings would let them. Scimitar had no intention of leaving; he wanted to serve. To be able to lay down his life for the Stormcatcher's reign would be the highest honor. However, as strong-willed and forceful Scimitar is, a stupid little thing called love got in the way of him and his servitude. He met a storm-grey wildclaw from the Tangled Wood, and her tales of a mysterious little Clan hidden in mist in the Viridian Labyrinth won him over. She told him of a Clan - The Riparians - who accepted anyone into their ranks, regardless of past or lineage. But most of all, it was the passion in this wildclaw's voice that haunted him. He couldn't forget her; there was something about her and her fantastical stories that called to him. So, when she left, he followed. Scimitar goes wherever Navani goes, he only has eyes for her.
