The Tale of His Charge:

Daleth was reluctant to leave his family when the time to begin his Search came, but he did so promptly as he couldn't bare the thought of staying half a dragon in the eyes of his dad, though it seemed he was being pulled multiple directions. To make it worse, the pulls moved. It took him three years and a struggle against a longing for home to find the first of his Charge, a particular Icewarden Puppet. He'd seen others previously, so at first he didn't understand the need to have That one and care for and protect it, but he did so anyways. He knew his Search wasn’t over yet though. The next part came in the form of an abandoned Charged Stormcatcher Sackdoll. It was then that he figured out his Charge was like Galore’s, it was multiple items, except that instead of rare and valuable stuff, it was… Very specific toys? Well, now he had an idea of what he was looking for.

It didn’t take long after that for him to find out that it felt right to give away particular toys from his Charge to particular dragons, and he did so with two whilst away from home. The joy he sees on the faces of those he gives them to gives him great joy.

Eventually, Daleth realized his pulls kept moving towards his home, and that maybe the reason he had been so homesick is that he hadn’t needed to leave to find his Charge. So, he came back, traveling as fast as he could to return to the Obsidian Rose Clan, eager to see his family and share his story on why he’d returned. His family took his return in stride, welcoming him back and congratulating him on figuring out that his charges would come closer to his home rather than him having to travel constantly to find them. His brother, Mephiles, teased him lightly about what his charge was in his classic brotherly way, but his expression was as happy as ever. Daleth was introduced to his three younger siblings and took on his role of being an older brother promptly and happily.

Since returning home, the number of toys his Charge consists of has grown considerably quicker, even as he passes some off to the dragons that feel right. The room in which he keeps his safeguarded toys has been dubbed the "Toy Box", transferred from his literal box once there was too many of them, and he's just accepted it after he got tired of protesting such a lame name without being able to come up with a name that was much better.

A crudely-fashioned stuffed doll that resembles the Stormcatcher. It is pieced together with squares of fleece and is giving you quite the case of static shock.
