Biography
Pollux smiled happily as she left the nesting grounds, much to the hatchlings chagrin, and headed to the library. Flying up high she left the warm breeze carry her. Her smile widened as she thought of seeing Navi. Since they were in different clans she couldn't see him normally. Luckily it was only a short flight away.
Seeing the familiar surroundings she landed nearby. Saying a quick hi to the others she quickened her pace to the one place she could always count on him being. The calming smell of old books and scrolls greeted her. It was almost as welcoming as the smell of flowers.
Her claws made quiet tapping noises as she made her way up the stairs to his normal study spot. With a little pep in her step and a quiet hum she called out for her mate. "Oh Navi.~"
She traced his jaw with her tail to get his attention. It was hard to get his head out of a book when he started. For all she knew the only quick way was to set fire to the place and even then it was hard. Not like she's tried it or anything. Yet.
Navi muttered out a quick 'let me finish this passage' before continuing on. Pouting slightly she rolled onto her back in front of him. "Naviiiiiiiii." Playfully batting his nose with her foot she tried to get his attention. She got a small smile, but still not enough. Rolling back to her feet she started to nuzzle him with her snoot. That worked on occasion.
Hearing Navi finally laugh she grinned. "Finally! Would you rather a book be your mate than me hmm?" Before he could respond she pecked his cheek and went off into the long winding halls. "C'mon slow poke! I've been waiting all day!"
Without slowing down she made her way outside again and swept up a basket she had made earlier. Once seeing Navi come out she bolted off once more. The dense forest that resided besides there clan's base was great for exploring. It was rich with animals and more importantly, flowers of all kinds. It was better than the one by her clan and even then it was a bit of a journey and not even that impressive.
As she went along she picked various flowers and herbs before finally reaching the spot. The forest thinned out to a small oval clearing. The clearing was filled with wildflowers and glowed in the sunlight beating down from above. It was her surprise for Navi since he never gets out of the stuffy library. While she waited for him to trail behind she set up the bits of food she brought with her.
Finally seeing the familiar bookworm she bounded over to him. Before he could even utter a word she nuzzled him once more and gave him a few quick pecks. "Ta da!"
Seeing Navi grin made her smile even more. She loved that smile.
"Wow this is so pretty! Of course you would be the one to find it. Oh? You even brought food and of course more flowers."
The two of them settled in and ended up talking for hours. Whether it was about his new books or her wild adventures with the new hatchlings. While they talked they cuddled and basked in the sunlight. She even talked Navi into doing flower crowns and necklaces with her. When the sun started to set it replaced the warm glow of sunlight with the beautiful orange hues. Fireflies came out to great them in there little getaway.
"Betcha I can catch more fireflies than you!" Pollux smirked as she started to pounce on the glowing dots in the sky. Hearing her mate laugh she watched him do the same from the corner of her eye. Once he was distracted she pounced on him instead. "look! I got the biggest of them all! I win."
Navi grinned before resting his head on hers. "Drats, looks like I lost." The two of them laughed before resting with one another. Moonlight replaced the oranges before both of them drifted into sleep.
