Skyward

Once, as the Clan was still in it's early stages, a traveler couple was passing through their territory. The female was shortly before laying a clutch of eggs and so they asked if they could stay for some time and got the permission to make their nest near Eternal Night's Hideout. Right after their eggs hatched, it was evident that Skyward was a very healthy and lively hatchling who would grow into a strong dragon. His brother on the other hand was very weak and fragile. Their parents came to the conclusion that the little Imperial wouldn't survive long and decided to leave him behind, only taking Skyward with them. But the newborn Ridgeback had a feeling that he should stay at his brother's side and refused to leave. And so his parents eventually left alone, leaving them both behind. Luckily, Eternal Night took them both in and raised them. And to Skyward's delight, his brother sucessfully managed to fight off death. But despite the fact that his condition was improving as they grew, the Imperial was still fragile and thus unable to fight for the Clan. Skyward was resolved to train and work twice as hard to not only become one of the best warriors but also to be able to protect his brother and supported him on his way of becoming Eternal Night's healer.
One day, one of the patrols came back with another Ridgeback they had found unconcious at the southern border of their territory. The young female, who was barely grown out of her hatchling stage, introduced herself as Kari and claimed to be his sister. Skyward was sceptical but his brother told him that she had no reason to lie and that her scent indeed held some familiarity. As Kari got permission to stay and become a clanmember, Skyward decided to train her himself.[/size]

Skyward is a very protective dragon, especially when it comes to his two siblings. And, although sometimes a little bit overambitious, a skilled fighter who has no sympathy left for his enemys. He is rather stubborn and has little patience but is usually a very socialable dragon and a good friend. As a Ridgeback he hates water, especially rain, and would just hole up in his house on rainy days. Due to his looks, strangers often take him for a lightning dragon at first glance. The glowing portions of his body actually come from a bioluminescent poison that gathers inside his claws and belly.

Skyward's strenght lies in aerial combat. He can hover for a lang duration of time and is able to deal and take hits without losing his balance. He often sweeps down on his enemies, attacking them with his poisonous claws or directly spewing his venom at them. Although one of the best warriors of his Clan, the bioluminescent nature of his poison make him unsuitable for nightly assaults.
