Biography
. . . . .Iari \Εär•î\
[Foredragon]
Mate: Blitz
Cunning • Proud • Shrewd • Ambitious
In charge of lair expansion and mining operations. If she tries to cut a deal with you then you might wanna think twice because she always makes sure it's in her favor. A bit aggressive and has a tendency to get a little too close. Not above using seduction to get something. She deals and borrows mainly with favors, although she rarely gives them. Hates owing others. She was a normal dragon once. A shrewd and renowned scientist from the Shifting Expanse. Before the accident, that was. An errant pinch of powder, a surge of electricity at the wrong time, a catastrophic explosion that shook the earth and wiped half of her birthclan from the face of Sornieth. But not Iari. The first responders found her; badly scared, barely alive. They couldn't let a dragon of her stature perish without trying to save her. Using the ridgeback's own research into cybernetic enhancements, the remaining doctors and scientists in her clan fought to stabilize Iari as she clung to life. They worked for days on end, merging metal with flesh, wires with muscles. Not robot, but no longer fully dragon. If it succeeded, it would be dragonkind's greatest accomplishment. Yet despite all of their work, it still was not it wasn't enough. And as the ridgeback closed her eyes and drew her final breaths, they prayed to the Stormcatcher. Prayed that he would save her. Just as Iari's life was leaving her, an enormous bolt of lightning struck with eye-burning intensity, followed by the echoing crashes of thunder that left a ringing in every nearby creature's ears. Iari's eyes snapped open. She drew deep, gasping breaths, inhaling all of the air that had left her lungs. Her body ached. Her nerves on fire as all the connections between metal wires and nerve endings synced up. She writhed on the large table that held her, screaming in agony. None of the others could hear her; none of them could see her. They were still blinded and deafened by lightning sent to Sornieth by their deity.
