Biography

Trillium
The Summer Child
Sacridite Fool's Gold Myosotis

Trillium is a fae who left from her former clan (meretrixprocax) in serach of a more fulfilling life. She realized that the way of life there was no longer for her and decided to leave after her last clutch had hatched. As soon as the young eggs broke, she left the lair without a glance back. A rogue fugitive with no home or clanmates, Trill wasn't sure where to turn. Swimming into the open waters, she sought out the aid of the nearest Auction House. They help dragons of all breeds and ages relocate into loving clans. Her old clan, even, had adopted several dragons themselves that she had come to think of as family. Surely they could help her find a home too despite her peculiar age and background. A place where she could have a fresh start.

She stayed at the House for a few days, coming to learn about other dragons there. She found some who were like her - grew up in a clan and established a family and friends but then decided they needed a change of clans. Some were even older than her. They had spent years in a clan before deciding to leave. They inspired her that she too could find another clan that would be just as loving and supportive to her as her last one. So when a coatl and mirror pair (Melodist) picked her out from the crowd, she could hardly contain her excitement. A new family was there to take her in. But something seemed off about the deal. They didn't stop at just her but continued to pick out a few more adult dragons from the lot. It's like they weren't even looking at them, simply gathering anyone who looked healthy.

With dread pooling within her, Trill realized she wasn't being adopted as a clan member - she was exalt fodder. She had seen the same thing be done in her own clan. She and the other dragons lived seperately from the other members. Hatchlings, dragons, they all slept in the back of the clan. They all knew why they were there. She remembered the other dragon she had befriended in the House. He told her she was beautiful with high valued genes. She would definitely find a good home. Horror settled within Trill as the harsh reality set in. Before the week was over, she would be sent to serve the Tidelord. Although it's seen as the highest honor, Trill didn't want this. Not yet. All she wanted was another shot at her own happiness, but it was being taken away before she even got the chance to start. Worse yet, there was nothing she cold do about it. She had been bought, fair and square. The clan had all right to do with her as they wished.

When the leader pair told her of a letter they received on her behalf, she almost couldn't believe it. A clan in the Viridian Labyrinth had seen her bulletin for adoption and wanted to adopt her as well. They promised to pay the clan for any inconveniences if they released her to their care, which the Daemon's Watch clan had no problem with. The next day, she entered a lair flush with verdant green foliage. Flowers bloomed like a carpet underfoot. Different from the underwater homes she was used to. The whole place gave off a bright, warm feeling - like sunshine.

“Oh, my sweet summer child," Old Nan said quietly, "what do you know of fear?
Fear is for the winter, my little lord, when the snows fall a hundred feet
deep and the ice wind comes howling out of the north. Fear is for the long
night, when the sun hides its face for years at a time, and little children
are born and live and die all in darkness while the direwolves grow gaunt and
hungry, and the white walkers move through the woods”
