Zakai was lost from his nest when a rogue attacked the den in an effort to find food. The very young Coatl dragon wandered for a long time, hungry and trying to find where his parents had gone. The young dragon instead found himself captured by a group of Slavers. They took the little dragon and took fairly good care of him though sold him to the first dragon who had the best offer.
He escaped as soon as he could from his abusive master and found himself in and out of dangerous places. Frostbite took him in after getting him out of some trouble. He has yet to leave as he feels in debt to her. Because of his checkered past he has a few skills that most would not think highly of.
