Biography

"Fae scroll *?* I would be even smaller, but would i be better at magic. *crest shrug* I am fine as I am. I can run a long distance, jump, and I am mighty strong defender of the Faefriend"

Zip has always been small and sickly for a Wildclaw. (She was often mistaken for a male wildclaw due to her light weight. She is a gangly dragon, all bones and huge wings on a relatively tiny body) Because of Zips small size and curious nature, she often lost in play-fighting with her eggmates and was often scolded for her weak and timid nature since only the strong survive in the scarred wasteland. Zip avoided home at all costs, and often felt outcast anyways due to her difficulty in understanding the many social nuances of other Wildclaws and Mirriors. Zip instead took to wandering. On her wanders she met many Fae from the Windswept Platue and loved how, for once, she was the big strong dragon. Sarcasm was clearly communicated with headfrill tilts and she never had to wonder if the small dragons were happy, or scared, or frightened because all she had to do was remember crest communication.

She became friends with the Fae and, as a child, would act as protector against any animals that would harm her small, young friends.

As Zip grew up, her desire to wander also grew and she learned to rely on stealth and ambush to protect herself in her travels. She also took quite an interest in the Fae dominated craft of clockwork, and apprenticed under a local Fae master near her nest. When she wanders, she often tries to find sanctuary in a Fae village, often trading a bit of knowledge or one of the many clockwork devices she collects as passage. Her mastery of the Fae language helps. Because of her larger size, knowledge of Fae tribes, and schooling in how delicate many of the fae devices are; Zip often finds gainful employment in transporting Fae goods from tribe to tribe.

Zip is more comfortable with Fae traditions and customs than that of the Wildclaws, and has the monotone speech of a fae. Her headpiece is her pride and baby: It can illuminate what she is working on, has changeable lens filters including magnification and magic filters, and can read Zip's mental state to emulate basic Fae frill language via the feather frill.

Zip stinks at magic, but is adept at the laying the gliphs and mechanisms necessary for efficiently harnessing magic. One of her many projects is a clockwork familiar, which she has finally completed with her golem gauntlet! The golem is modified to carry a part of her conscious and makes visiting fae tree-villages much simpler. She finds herself relying on her fae helmet a lot less now that she has the ability to communicate to other fae via the golem.

Zip is prone to disappearing for days on a project and has a bad tendency to ghost her friends. On the spectrum

Found a home in the Mutating Ice clan, and is part of the Spreading Growth cult. (This organization has many Nature dragons including numerous fae, as well as Plague dragons such as herself) Zip has agreed to a symbiotic mushroom colony that has allowed her a lot more strength and stamina than her sickly body ever had. She is now a much more competent guard, although her passion is still in clockwork. The multitude of eyes allows her to see infrared like the many mirrors she used to envy from her home clan. She can also see ultraviolet and has a ~much~ larger field of vision. it can get a little disorientating at times, and sometimes frustrates her when she is trying to focus on small runes or tiny devices, but for the most part, she is happy with the benefits.
