Biography
“No!” Diath turned and began to storm out.
“What? Why?” Sonnet demanded.
Calysta stopped him and softly asked why he would not allow Qen admittance to the clan.
Trying not to shout at his mate he simply said, “Plague. No Plague dragons.”
Genjiwei cleared his throat.
Diath lowered his head, slowly shook it, then looked up. “You are different my friend.”
“And Qen isn’t?” Sonnet still fuming. “I should have more of a problem with him being Plague than you.”
The room went silent. It was well know that she had allowed herself to be exalted do to grief in finding out her first born was force exalted to the Plaguebringer - unnamed. She had been allowed to return by the Gladekeeper.
“May I speak?” Qen’s quiet but projected bass voice broke the stillness. Diath started to answer. But, looked at Calysta who slightly nodded. He grunted his permission.
“It’s true I was born in a Plague nest. But, both of my parents were of Ice and were exalted to the Icewarden and Windsinger. I was raised in a Shadow clan and all of my offspring were of Shadow. I consider myself Shadow Flight. I will never do harm to this clan.”
All eyes fell on to Diath. Calysta moved closer and gently rolled her pearl along his tense neck muscles. He sighed. “Fine, but there is no more room at Tareesh.”
Sonnet rolled her eyes. But before she could respond, Cimmeron spoke. “Zorast will accept him brother.”
Diath looked over to her and nodded once. He turned and left.
Qen is now Cohortes Urbanae at Zorast. He and Rylla have become a couple. Her Ichor Nymph has befriended him also.
