_Silence often follows Alonzo. It is not uncommon for him to go days, even weeks, without uttering a single word to another member of the clan. He believes that silence begets wisdom, that noise begets chaos, and that the best answer is no answer at all. Although he appears standoffish on first impression, if given time, he will reveal that he is an intensely empathetic being, with a deep love of books. He spends all his time in the library, usually accompanied by his furry friend, Francis. He takes his position in the clan very seriously, and since his appointment as clan historian, the library has doubled in size. Nobody is quite sure where Alonzo is finding the books and artifacts he is filling the library with, but it has thus far gone unquestioned, as no trouble has come from it.

_Where exactly Alonzo comes from, and how he came to be a prominent fixture (and rumoured council member) of Candida Lux is largely unknown. The only information that is known for certain is that he hails from the Windswept Plateau and is well-educated. When he speaks, it is deliberate and with purpose - no more than necessary, with short, curt answers to any questions. In most cases, he will not speak at all, either outright ignoring whomever is speaking to him, or directing them to another clan member with a series of gestures. Above all else, Alonzo values the library of Candida Lux and treats it with great care. Each book is lovingly catalogued and given a place on a shelf, while clan records are archived for future members to peruse if they wish. Though more than happy to lend out his books to students, Alonzo is a force to be reckoned with should something happen to his beloved tomes.
