 Moon Shaman of The Clan of Anod Eryn |
There was once a winter so dark and so vast that the very life of the Clan of Anod Eryn was threatened. The Ice clans of the Southern Ice Fields are used to the extreme nature of the winter. Born into one of those clans was a young hatchling with the ability to read the shadows of the moon. Aptly named, Moon was born mute but with the ability of the sight. She was highly valued in her clan, a soothsayer to be treasured, until one day when she saw a message in the face of the heavenly body. It told her that there as a great purpose yet for her, that she was needed to aide a clan that would be her new home. To leave her home, all she knew, was unnerving. But Moon had often dreamed of a vibrant color that she had no name for. A choice was to be made; and Moon followed the guidance of the stars. She left her clan and traveled to the far north, toward warm lands that never knew the touch of true cold. Through her journey though, the cold only became worse. She arrived to an ancient forest, whose tree tops brushed the sky, that sat deep in a bewtiched winter. Moon appeared to the Clan like a wraith, and she was not a welcome spectre. Thin and weak, the clan Avatar was in a deeply spelled state and couldn't be awoken. They didn't trust the silent outsider, didn't understand the brushes of her power on their minds. It was the young apprentice Yue who finally understood that the strange dragon was there to help. Though only she and San know the truth, it's said that she entered the dreams of the clan Avatar and helped break the curse he was under, in turn breaking the curse of the winter on the Clan. Moon was welcomed, and has lived under the trees ever since. |
