Kaguya, Moonlit Songstress, Runaway Immortal

Kaguya hails from the Foxfire Bramble.

Kaguya has the ability to manipulate moonlight. This ability allows her to put moonlight to several different uses, such as lighting dark areas in the Tangled Wood, healing grievous wounds, and curing diseases that cannot be cured through normal means. In addition to that, her singing has a soothing effect, and is able to calm even the most erratic of dragons and monsters alike. These two abilities make her the Candlelit's most valuable medic.

As the daughter of two aristocrats, Kaguya was always held to high expectations. She met all of these expectations with ease. Her parents were very proud of her, and would often boast about their "perfect daughter". As a result of her parents' boasting, she became overwhelmed with suitors from many other noble families. Kaguya politely turned down all of them, as she wished to retain her freedom and live a happy life where she would find the perfect mate for herself. Kaguya's rejection of the suitors went mostly unnoticed until someone had revealed to her actions to her parents. Outraged by this, Kaguya's parents went and arranged a marriage for their daughter in secret with another aristocrat's son. The son was rather disliked by many, including Kaguya herself. She did not learn about this arrangement until a month before the marriage. She became extremely unsettled by this surprise arrangement, and refused to marry him. What could she do to avoid this marriage? Kaguya thought about this question and this question only until the day of her marriage. By the time she was married, she had not found her answer yet.

After her marriage with that aristocrat's son, Kaguya had three hatchlings with him. The aristocrat's son continued to live happily with her after their offspring had gone off to live their own lives. Kaguya held up a facade of happiness, and continued to think of how she would get out of this marriage. She then decided to wait for an opportunity to escape. That opportunity came when her spouse was attacked by assassins in the middle of the night. He was seriously wounded, so Kaguya went to get help for him. As doctors tended to her spouse, Kaguya left under the cover of darkness for the Candlelit Ruins, a place that she had heard from thanks to a friend. It seemed like the ideal place for her to stay for the rest of her life, as it was a haven for the lost and travelers.

Before she left her old home, she took the most prized possession of her family, the Full Moon Elixir. The Full Moon Elixir was crafted a long time ago by her oldest ancestors with ingredients that can no longer be found. The effects of the elixir are unknown, as it was never used. There were rumors that the elixir could grant immortality if the bottle was glimmering beautifully in the light of a full moon. After making it into the forest, she noticed that the Full Moon Elixir was glowing. Kaguya felt her body move on its own as she pulled the bottle out of her bag and pulled off the cap. Perhaps those rumors were true. She took a single sip. It tasted like.....nothing. Dissatisfied, she took another sip. It still tasted like nothing. The third sip and final sip, on the other hand, had a bittersweet taste. Shortly after the third sip, she collapsed to the ground in a fit of coughing. Unbearable pain flooded through her entire body as colors wildly flashed in her eyes. Suddenly, the pain came to a jarring stop, and Kaguya stood herself up by the empty bottle. Seems like those rumors were true. After attaining immortality, Kaguya continued to the Candlelit Ruins.
