Biography

"Gei, love, have you seen my monocle?"
The female imperial resting across the den lifted her head, giving her mate a groggy stare. "Did you perhaps leave it back in the desert?"
"I don't believe so..."

He was certainly he'd had it when preparing to leave to return home. Surely he'd have heard it fall should it have dropped, and he rather disliked the idea of having to travel all the way back to the Shifting Expanse if order to retrieve it.
But it'd been a rather expensive piece of fine jewelry. Golden rim with intricate design work that could have only been crafted by the fine hands of a fae. It hadn't been a piece one would stumble across any old market. A rare find indeed, and now it was missing.

Gadzooks knew he'd kept it on his person the entire time while he and his lovely mate, Gei, were spending a short time in the Lightning domain. Their clan leader thought their offspring would benefit from a breath of life from a hardy Lightning nest. And of course their leader knew quite a few clans across the regions, and was easily able to hook them up with a few day's stay in the desert stricken lands of Lightning.
Their time in the clan had been fairly pleasant. Though they'd been warned about a few of the clan's inhabitants, the two Imperials took it upon themselves to socialize with the rest. A fairly friendly lot, Gadzooks had found. Gaile, a member of his own clan who'd previously had a nest laid within the same Lightning clan, had warned him specifically of a certain ridgeback. Gadzooks encountered the very same one at least a couple times, and though he was a very large one, he proved to be more docile than Gaile had given him credit for. A bit hostile and unsocial, but calm none the less. Perhaps the aqua colored Coatl had been hallucinating his story of a run in with a demon-dragon.

A particularly friendly member of the Lightning clan had been a yellow colored Wildclaw, with wings that were speckled and colored much like the desert sands. He'd always had a smile on his visage and was often more than willing to lend a hand should Gadzooks or Gei ever need something. And though he was friendly, he moved quietly, and it was often a surprise when he'd show up. He'd informed them that he'd grown up trained in such behavior, but why anyone would do so was unfathomable to Gadzoons.
Saif was the Wildclaws name, an odd name at that. His mate was a blue-feather'd skydancer decorated in pink bows. A sweet young dragon. Saffron was her name. She was often the one who would stop by the nursery den to inquire if they were in need of some food, with Saif soon in tow should they have answered yes.
Even upon their leave did the young Skydancer offer them some food for their trip home to the Tangled Woods, in which Saif was then kind enough to store the food in their traveling packs while Saffron bid Gadzooks and Gei's new hatchlings goodbye. Definitely a motherly sort.

Thinking about it, Gadzooks realized it was entirely possible he'd forgotten to put his monocle back into it's pocket in his traveling bag after the wildclaw had gotten done storing the food, but somehow he clearly remembered making sure it had been secured back in place...

"... Do we need to take a trip back?" Gei's question broke his train of thought, and promptly he shook his head.
"No. I'm sure my brother can get me in contact with the original seller again. It was easy enough before. It just bothers me... How it could have disappeared in the blink of an eye..."

After leaving the Clan, Gadzooks wandered for a while, parting ways with his partner Gei and resting in various other Clans. However, he could never forget the happy times he had with Gii and the rest. After much deliberation, Gadzooks left to rejoin Clan Lunaerium, where he was welcomed with open arms. A new addition to the Clan, Cael took a liking to him and they soon became the best of friends.
