Bones reveal just as much about life as they do about death. Entire entire histories written out in calcium --where the dead lived, what they ate. What injuries they suffered and how they healed. I can reveal it all at a glance, and I am happy to do so.

But it goes even deeper than that. Old magic permeates our bodies whether we know it or not. It settles into our bones over long decades, and our memories seep into the marrow. I am one of those who can see through the eyes of the dead, who can feel what they felt and hear their thoughts echo in my ears.

It's a simple spell for those with the talent. A snap of a bone over a fire, a breath of smoke. And I see it all. From their first memories to their final moments. It's overwhelming at first, to a young Bone-seer. But over time, we learn to control the rush of memories and let them take us to where we need to go.

With this power, we Bone-seers are tasked with speaking for the dead and providing solace for the living. If ever you find yourself with a mystery to be solved or a bone to pick, all you need to do is leave it at my door.
