Biography

ARADAN - Curse Maker

Glowing Purple Clawtips Spirit of Shadow Mage's Nightshade Overcoat
The way Sornieth gossips, it would seem that curses are a dime a dozen, and those who make curses lie around every corner, sunken deep into every shadow. Stories are passed around the earth about family curses, love curses, revenge curses, all curses. It's far too easy to ask the fellow next to you who in his family has suffered a curse, and to get a list of the afflicted in return. Aradan hates it. The rumors make it hard to run his business, which is already shady enough. The only dragons who will pay for a curse to be put on someone are those either desperate or dastardly, and with constant talk of curses, there's a misconception that any dragon with magic can place a curse on someone else with the intended results. No one knows anymore that there's an art to curse-making, and that it takes a skilled hand to make a curse last long enough to take effect. Aradan could be the best of the best in the trade, but the rumors would destroy his business all the same. But he didn't get into curse work with a sense of innocence, and he has no qualms about taking matters into his own hands. With orders dwindling, he's had more time to himself, and more time to challenge the rumors. It only takes a curse here to make someone's tongue fall out, a curse there to punish every lie with a searing pain in the gut. Rumors might not die, but rumormongers can, and often by sudden illness or a tragic accident. How very strange, Aradan might say to his remaining customers. How very odd. Truly peculiar. And then he might smile.
