Raised by Apocyna, there was no doubt Ianthina would become a dedicated warrior. However, due to his unexpected love of travel he decided to become a mercenary. Lending his services to any dragon or clan that will pay, he is an important source of income for the clan. Apocyna trained him well and it shows when he fights. With graceful fluidity, he appears to dance with his trusty blade as he takes down his opponents. Make no mistake though, Ianthina is deadly in battle and hardly ever takes hits; a merciless fighter he uses his often greater speed and skills to the best of his abilities. In comparison to other fighters he does have one glaring weakness, his strength. He lacks strength and his hits hardly ever cause heavy damage to his opponents; this is when his speed becomes useful, showering his foe with slices and slashes to end the fight. Ianthina does not spend much time within the clan; he tends to get antsy when he is not on a job. Usually he comes home after a job, visits Apocyna and crashes somewhere to sleep for a few days and recharge. When this is done, he'll search for a new job or task; if he can't find one he'll train or help Apocyna as she trains the other fighters. Despite his love of paying jobs, he also has a strong sense of justice and will take on pro-bono tasks if he feels the cause is just. If a dragon ever needs training he'll also step in to help, always more than willing to help a new warrior develop their skills. |
