Tukiyo was set only the path to be a ranger all his life. He had been bred for that specific purpose by home clan. Once they had taught him everything they could they shipped him off to a new clan where he settled right in. He was still a hatchling then, and still curious and looking learning new knowledge. He would often be out with the clan scouts, learning the area around the new clan in order to prepare him for his future role in the clan.

In his spare time, he listened to one of the best musicians in his clan play music and could sit for hours and listen to them play. Soon enough the musician noticed his attentive nature and his frequent presence and asked him if he wanted to learn to play too. Tukiyo enthusiastically agreed and the musician taught him to play. He was a very attentive student, and always did his best and more, if he could manage.

Soon enough he was grown and had to assume his duties. He still had often lessons with his teacher and after his lessons he would practice on duty while roaming the forest, which further enhanced his skills. It got to the point where animals would come see him while he was out, and follow him around. He was scared of them at first but he soon learned they meant him no harm and he often played with them gently and curiously.

He learnt a lot about animals during his time on duty as well as letting them help him around and explore new and obscure areas he wouldn't have even found. He soon became quick friends with a few of the bigger and easily recognisable animals that would often lead him around in adventures when he wasn't on duty (and sometimes when he was) and he often had a lot of fun and got to satisfy his curiosity and his roaming spirit at the same time.
