Biography
VILIN FIRE REP |
╭━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━╮
"The blacksmith makes his own tools." ― Hilary Mantel ╰━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━╯ The dragons of the Molten Scar thought she was crazy for accepting an invitation to join an ice clan. Nevertheless Vilin let their words fall on deaf ears as she packed her rivets and her nails, the metal plates for her wings, chains, and her metallurgist forge tools. Everything she owned fit into a sack upon her back. She left without looking behind her, clutching the letter from the Blizzard Nomads in one soot-stained claw. The Southern Icefield was indeed as cold as the fire dragons had cautioned, but the promise of being able to pursue her craft beyond the shadow of the blacksmiths of her former home gave her all the motivation she needed. She was welcomed by the dark-winged fae, Daleth, who introduced her to her new clan and showed her the forge that had been prepared for her. At first she wasn’t sure how it would run – there was very little kindling to be found in the snowy South, and what there was was frozen all the way through. But then she made the acquaintance of Ifor. Ifor was a coatl and, apt for his kind, a fire mage. It was strange to meet another fire dragon so far from The Ashfall Wastes. She thought she was the only one insane enough to leave behind fire and forge for the uncertain promises of a nomad clan of the South. But Ifor merely laughed at her confusion and then, sensing her need, offered to fuel her furnace. The fire he provided was as hot and steady as anything the bellows from her old clan could produce, and together they forged tools, and apparel, and a partnership that would prove to withstand the test of time.
