____
_____

A n old quarrel between her father and an ex-lover lead to her parents having a deathly curse inflicted upon them. Over time, their scales shed one last time and never grew back. In their place, hard jagged plates that inflicted great pain and stiffened joints more akin to stone - they were effectively statues, barely able to walk. Though they were still alive, and were able to scrape up a decent livelihood in the embrace of their clan. It was quickly found that the curse was passed down to their children, though it was significantly less debilitating for them. They had many younglings before separating.

Magog moves slowly, almost glacial in pace, and she prefers curling up in the sun for days at a time - but she is quite a happy dragon. With a good book and a nice breeze, she is perfectly happy to soak up as many rays as she likes. As she lays there, soil tends to get caught between the rocky plates embedded in her skin, allowing for her namesake moss and even flowers to sprout on her. While her many siblings tended to retire into the Lightweaver's service (and for those who didn't - well, they weren't exactly the mobile type, and couldn't visit) she waited and waited for a greater opportunity to surface for her. She trained herself to move more and more, flexing stiff joints until she could almost fly. Well, she can't fly exactly - but she can certainly walk. And walk she will go, to somewhere a little more exciting.
