Juliep Courier Who has four eyes and is hotter than you? Hint: it's me. She knew that these birds weren’t her kind, and when she was barely a month old she ran off into the woods, determined to find her “real” family. She very easily got lost in the dark woods. Terrified and alone, she hid under a tree and tried to sleep, but only succeeded in crying. Not a few minutes later, she was discovered by Castor, a hulking Imperial. He took her in and hid her inside his clan. Juliep, not having any idea that her presence was a huge anomaly, wandered out of Castor’s burrow and was instantly discovered by Majesty. She tried to kill Juliep, but only Castor’s quick thinking saved her; he said he would be responsible for taking care of her, and anything she did would fall on him. Her rescue was the beginning of the organization of hatchlings that would be later called the Lost Children of Sornieth. She tried to make herself as scarce around the House’s lair as possible, spending her time climbing the mountains and exploring the woods until she knew it like the back of her hand. This, along with her swiftness, made her an idea candidate for courier of the clan. On one of her trips, she came across Orion, a tundra with a knack for hunting. After inviting him to live with her clan, they became fast friends. She was quite infatuated with him, but refused to admit it. The feeling must have been mutual, as one thing lead to another and the two of them were the proud parents of a three egg nest. Then, tragedy struck. The House had been forced to participate in the Arcane Hunger Games for a long while. Just after their clan had joined the rebellion and lost, and after Clan Stelaris has called off the games, Juliep intercepted a piece of correspondence plotting to steal hatchlings from the rebelling clans. She immediately confronted the sender, a massive black spiral, who threatened to kill her and her entire clan if she told any other clan, and said that if the House didn't deliver their hatchling, there would be terrible consequences. Juliep returned to the clan and instantly told everyone what had happened. Weeks went by, her babies hatched - three tundra boys - but there was no sign of the spiral. She thought that maybe it had been a scare tactic after all. Then, in the middle of the night, he came. She swore and spit, telling him that she'd die before he took one of her sons. Then her oldest, Archer, a hatchling of barely a month old, stepped forward to fight. She tried to go after him, but Archer just turned to her and said "Don't worry Mommy. It's just a dream. We'll wake up soon." A day passed, and while Juliep was sorting mail with her two remaining sons playing, Sandor sat bolt upright. "Archer's asleep Mommy." He said, his eyes wide, a small smile on his face. "There was a lot of light and now he's asleep." Not a day passed, and a small stone coffin arrived at the edge of the House's territory. The only thing marking it was a small note reading "It didn't seem right to leave him there. We lost one too. I'm sorry." After losing Archer, she was forever changed. She was still herself, but there was a new edge to her; a cruel, vicious side that came out much easier than it had before. Juliep is a very quick thinker. To the surprise of everyone around her, since she’s usually spending her time quietly observing and slipping away through the shadows, she can wiggle others and herself out of the trickiest of situations. While a generally quiet girl, she knows precisely when to drop a comment, and when she does expect it to be razor sharp and hilarious. Be careful though; if you get on her bad side, she will come for you, your family, and everything you hold dear. |
