YamaNoKami
Role: Forest Keeper
Personality: Kind, and gentle… unless you cut down one of her trees.

YamaNoKami was a dragon that hides in her forest. She watches over the animals, plants, and trees as if they were her own children. When she soars over the forest, there’s always a small creature that will point up at here and ask who she was. She was the goddess of the forest, welcoming everyone to her forest a love, but guards the forest as if it was an infant. She loved her mother and father who are one with the forest, and she has yet to have her own child. Although, she’s a goddess, they all must be taught. She remembers her mother’s teaching of the forest.

“Mummy. Why is the forest so big?” YamaNoKami asked as a baby. “Because they are our babies, and we protect them so they can grow as big as they are,” She said. “Who would want to hurt these beautiful tree’s” she intriguingly questioned. “Monsters, that will eat you if you don’t behave!” she giggled as she nuzzled her daughter on the head. “Does daddy protect the forest?” she asked yawning. “Yes, he does,” she said as YamaNoKami cuddled into her chest. “But soon, it will be yours to guard.” she whispers.

YamaNoKami kept her promise. Keeping the monsters away from her beloved forest, yet at the same time tended for the young. She landed beside a young doe. Startled by her presence she ran behind her mother. “It’s okay little one,” The mother deer said. “She is the guardian of the forest, go on, talk to her!” As the doe walked toward YamaNoKami, she sat down and sweetly said. “Would you like to hear a story?”
Yama-no-kami is the Japanese goddess of the hunt, forest, agriculture, and vegetation. She is very powerful. Controlling the forest and keeping the earth alive. She is very good natured and good hearted. Although dont cut down one of her trees in the sacred forest or you will be cut down yourself.
